Fundraising Process

American Youth Services has alway developed the best, easiest selling fundraising products for the groups that trust us with their financial success.  Fundraising, however, is much more than just products as the fundraising process is just as important to the successof a fundraiser.   Through years of experience and hundreds of successful fundraisers, we have put together the best possible fundraising program available and our groups’ success is proof in the pudding.

Here are some of the key components in our fundraising process…

  • Coaches/Leaders Training Meeting- We understand the importance of being prepared and we want to get everyone on your staff on the same page before the fundraiser begins.  For this purpose we will schedule a simple but important 20 minute “all hands on deck” meeting with all coaches/leaders involved with your program to go over all dates, sales goals, leadership expectations, and prizes.  This meeting usually takes 20-30 minutes.
  • Kickoff- To start the fundraiser off properly we want to get all the participants together at one time to educate, motivate, and excite them at the beginning of the fundraiser.  One of our fundraising coaches will be there to go over all the fundraising details and pass out the fundraising product or brochure.  Then we ask the coach/leader to go over the importance of the fundraiser to let the participants now the purpose behind all their hard work.  After that we will go over all the prizes, answer any questions, and set the participants off well prepared and motivated to help your group and themselves succeed.
  • Blitz Night- This is the funnest and most rewarding night of the whole fundraiser as it comes to an end.  During this night is when all the participants return with all the fruits of their labors and the program reaps the rewards from their hard work.  It is during this meeting that any cash prizes are handled out and prizes that need to be ordered are chosen (customized prizes take 3-4 weeks for delivery).  We wrap everything up with some food and send everyone home on a full stomach and excited for the future financial security of the group.
  • Delivery Day (for Amanda Marie’s Cookie Dough and other brochure fundraisers)- One of the largest complaints that we here from customers switching over to use our fundraisers is the nightmare they had during delivery.  We are still perplexed at how fundraising companies continue to botch the delivery as, for us, it is quite possibly the easiest step in the whole process.  By stocking our product in local warehouses, using our own local delivery fleet, and streamlining the student distribution, we have quickly become the fundraising company of choice in every market that we serve.
